Trip Description:

This is an HPSC favorite that sells out every year due to the exceptional value, ski in/ski out location, great meals and superb skiing. It is a must for those of you who have not yet experienced Sunday River. This year we will stay at the Grand Summit Lodge which has a spa, health club and heated outdoor pool and a true slope side location.

Sunday River is a huge ski resort with 131 trails that includes glades, bumps and open runs spread across eight interconnected mountain peaks, each offering a distinct experience. The resort is serviced by a network of 18 lifts, including four high-speed quads, ensuring easy access to every corner of the resort. All abilities will find something to their liking here.  At the eastern end of the resort, White Cap features some of the most challenging terrain on the mountain with steeps, glades, and the legendary bump run, White Heat.

Next is Locke Mountain, where the first runs on the mountain were cut. Predominantly Blue trails include favorites like Cascades, Monday Mourning and Sunday Punch. Three Mile Trail is a Green run starting here and winding across the mountain. Ecstasy is a Blue leading back to the lower trails on Locke, and Right Stuff is one of the most popular Black runs at the resort.

Spruce Peak offers two long Blue cruisers, Risky Business and American Express, and the short and steep bump run Downdraft. Spruce also offers quick access to the western side of the resort with the Green run, Sirius.  North Peak is home to the mid-mountain Peak Lodge, and a variety of great Green and Blue runs.  North Peak has a high-speed lift and long runs.

Jordan Bowl boasts the best scenery at the resort, as well as some of the best runs. All abilities will find something to their liking here, with long Green and Blue cruisers like Lollapalooza and Rogue Angel as well as advanced glades.

Resort Accommodation:

This year we are staying at the Grand Summit Lodge with true slope-side access to the resort. A couple of steps from the door, click-click, and you are on the slopes. Giant outdoor heated pool and hot tub for après-ski relaxing. Visit the web pages below for a preview of this extensive resort, hotel and rooms.

Dining:  Four themed buffet dinners included.

Departure: On Sunday February 26, 2017 from Yonge & York Mills, Toronto at 9:30am and 10:00am from Scarborough

From Sunday River at 3:30pm on Friday March 3,  2017.

Transportation to the ski areas and return will be by HPSC luxury coach.
