Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Regular lessons (Classic & Skate L1-5) will be offered. Guided snowshoeing will be be offered.
Registration opens January 29 at 9pm.
Conditions: given the forecast for the week and weekend, conditions are likely to be "machine groomed granular" - hard packed with loose snow on top. This can be a bit challenging for beginners, but they do have some flat trails (Roe and East River; Lumby is also pretty good) and our instructors are there to help in lessons. There is also guided snowshoeing - visiting the waterfall is always a highlight of the trip. The skating trail looks like it will probably be open given the colder temperatures. So lots of options for outdoor fun.
Arrowhead has 28 km of classic ski trails and 16 km of skate ski trails. In addition, they have over 8 km of marked snowshoe trails. They also have an ice skate trail - you can bring your skates if it's open. The Visitor Centre is a beautiful building with ski and snowshoe rental facilities, washrooms, water, and a big sitting area; however, there is no cafeteria. So you must bring your lunch.

Drop off will start at Hwy 400/7 and then will go straight to Keele station (and then to Davenport and up Yonge). You may want to get off at Keele station and take the subway from there
