Day Trips

Winter is a fantastic time to discover all the opportunities available in southern Ontario to indulge or discover your snowy passions – be it downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing.

In winter, we schedule weekend and mid-week trips to local public and private resorts every week. And if you are on the bus, as a group we receive discounted rates.

We love our local hills and make the most of what is within reach of Toronto. If you don’t own a car, or just don’t want to drive up to the hill, you can still get out and enjoy your winter sport of choice. From convenient pick up locations around Toronto (most with easy TTC access, as well as parking), we run luxury coaches to a variety of hills in Ontario. And free lessons are available to members on day trips. Please note that only downhill skiing and snowboarding allows driving to lessons. Cross-country does not allow driving up.

Overnight Trips

High Park Ski Club arranges the most weekend/ week-long overnight bus trips to Eastern resorts of any Toronto area ski club. In 2022/ 2023 we will run 8 overnight trips. Transportation to and from the resorts will be by luxury coach.

We are the only ski club that offers guided skiing from our own CSIA/CANSI certified instructors for downhill and cross-country skiing on all overnight trips to destinations in Quebec, Vermont, Maine and New York State. Some trips also offer guided snowboarding for intermediate and advanced riders.

If you are not sure if you want to ski/ride all of the days, or if you have purchased a multi-resort pass (such as the Ikon pass), some trips offer a social-only option which allows you the ability to purchase your lift tickets independently. So you can decide on the spot if you want to ski, explore town, shop or participate in other available activities.

For members who join as a single, we will try our very best to match you up with a same gender roommate to share a hotel room. If we are unable to match you with a roommate, you will have the option of paying for a single room or accepting a full refund. But if you wish to have a hotel room to yourself, you can pay the single supplement charge. Everyone including singles is included in the party atmosphere and guided skiing experiences.

Charter Trips

High Park Ski Club offers the most comprehensive and extensive line-up of charter trips each season of any ski club in the Toronto area. In 2022/ 2023 we will run 8 charter trips. Our charter trips are to the top snow destinations in Western North America, Europe, South America and Asia. We ensure that the trips are the best combination of adventure, price and value.

As with our overnight trips, if you are not sure if you want to ski/ride all of the days or if you have purchased a multi-resort pass (such as the Ikon pass), most trips offer a social-only option which allows you the ability to purchase your lift tickets independently. So you can decide on the spot if you want to ski, explore town, shop or participate in other available activities. Similarly if you want to arrange your own air travel (such as by using reward points), all trips offer a land-only option. Each trip description will indicate what the deduction amount will be for arranging your own air travel. 

Similar to paragraph above for overnight trips, you can join as a single to be matched up with a same gender roommate to share a hotel room, or request a single room and pay a single supplement charge.

For all charter trips, you can purchase from the tour operator an optional travel insurance policy covering cancellation due to medical conditions and medical expenses while you are away. You can also add on, "Cancel For Any Reason" insurance (CFAR) on all trips.
